New Year, New Website, New Location

Hi Peeps,

Quick update on what’s been happening in the world of @Home PC.

Toward the end of 2024, we said goodbye to our existence on Port Road. We started our business in 2004, founded by my wife and me, to take on the big shops and the handy-but-dodgy computer fairs (yes, we’re talking illegal software and sketchy deals) and to provide a reliable local service for home users. That’s how we chose the name “@Home PC.” On our very first day, we sold a humble USB stick, but by the end of our first year, thanks to massive support from our local customers, we hit over £100k in revenue. Year after year, we saw strong growth, expanding to serve small (and large) businesses, schools, and other enterprises.

We eventually outgrew our original premises and proudly moved to a larger location just a few doors down to 16 Port Road. Business continued to thrive, and by 2016 we hit our peak, running a busy shop, an online store, and even selling on Amazon.

Of course, it wasn’t always smooth sailing. We faced challenges like floods, staffing issues (we’ll leave it at that), and then COVID, which impacted us and countless other businesses.

Fast forward to September 27th, 2024—our final day at Port Road. The @Home PC brand, including my right-hand man Cameron and myself, merged with Infinity Print Solutions, with locations in Carlisle and Lancaster. Together, we’ve formed a new force, combining our expertise in PC sales, service, and IT support, along with our Gaming PC legacy and Google 5-star rating, with Infinity Print’s printer, copier, and managed print services. The result is a much stronger presence in the local IT landscape, offering a significantly expanded range of services for home users, small businesses, gaming enthusiasts, and more.

Our combined focus going forward is to be a one-stop shop for IT—providing PCs, laptops, repairs, servicing, software, print solutions, managed print services, and more to the local community.

Today also marks the launch of our new, refreshed website. It’s cleaner, more modern, and I’m optimizing it as we speak. Check it out and let us know what you think!
